US is set to invest more than $20 billion in munitions in its next budget due to its growing need for bombs that it has been dropping in 76 countries around the world. George W. Bush, who started the War on Terror, dropped 70,000 bombs in five countries during his tenure. Obama dropped a 100,000 bombs in seven countries during his time. Trump dropped 44,000 bombs in his first year alone, which accounts for 121 bombs a day; one every 12 minutes. The US’ obsession with bombs seems to be growing with every passing administration.
