Under its internship and fellowship program – for both Afghan and Pakistan nationals, Afghan Studies Center (ASC) welcomes its eighth intern, Ismail Ahmad, who belongs to Lower Dir District, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Ismail Ahmad has completed his MSc from the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at National Defence University, Islamabad. He has also completed certificate courses in Conflict Analysis and Maintenance of International Peace and Stability from United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and Centre for International Peace and Stability (NUST).

Currently, he is enrolled in M.Phil. Peace and Conflict Studies Program at National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad. Since February 2017, he has continuously participated in the Pak-Afghan Youth Dialogue series and quarterly training workshops organized by Afghan Studies Center. He currently also works as a Youth MPA at Provincial Youth Assembly KPK.
