KABUL (BNA): Al-Haj Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, the Acting Minister of Economy, recently met with Paul Klouman Bekken, the Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan, and the political secretary of the Norwegian embassy. The focus of their discussion was on enhancing economic cooperation and the continuation of humanitarian assistance.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy, the Norwegian Ambassador provided information about his country’s humanitarian assistance activities in Afghanistan and assured the continuation of Norway’s aid.
The Acting Minister of Economy expressed his appreciation for Norway’s humanitarian assistance. He highlighted that the establishment of national security across the country has created a conducive environment for relief organizations and development partners to operate, even in the most remote areas of the country.
He emphasized that focusing on developmental projects in sectors that generate employment can create a suitable platform for gradually reducing poverty levels. The Acting Minister of Economy continues to advocate for balanced development, provision of services to vulnerable areas, and adjustment of projects according to economic priorities and the needs of the people.
