KABUL – In a recent meeting with the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs highlighted the significance of the UN’s acceptance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s conditions during the third Doha meeting.

According to a statement from ARG, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Roza Otunbayeva, Head of UNAMA, and her accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, which focused on the outcomes of the third Doha meeting and the relationship between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the international community, Otunbayeva announced that work is progressing based on the decisions made at the recent Doha meeting. Specifically, two committees are being established to support Afghanistan’s private and banking sectors and to combat narcotics. These committees are tasked with identifying and addressing relevant issues and seeking effective solutions.

Furthermore, Otunbayeva added that several advanced countries have shown interest in managing these committees. She emphasized that high-level dialogue between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the international community can lead to constructive relations. She noted that establishing relations with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is a priority for Western communities.

Additionally, Otunbayeva mentioned her visits to northern provinces in Afghanistan, stating that complete security is maintained in remote areas. She highlighted UNAMA’s mission to facilitate access to microloans across all provinces in Afghanistan.

For his part, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir expressed gratitude for UNAMA’s mission and its assistance to Afghans, noting that the acceptance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s conditions by the UN during the third Doha meeting was a significant step. He valued the decisions made at the recent Doha meeting regarding Afghanistan’s issues.

Moreover, he mentioned that over the past three years, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has addressed several problems faced by Afghans and continues to strive to provide appropriate services and improve living conditions for the people.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that the Islamic Emirate prioritizes constructive and positive relations, as it seeks to engage with the global community.
