Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister, met with representatives of several countries, including Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine, on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting.
According to the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on topics such as strengthening bilateral relations, cooperation in various sectors, and creating opportunities.
Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated, “In these meetings, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral relations and creating opportunities for cooperation in various sectors.”
Some political analysts consider the acting Foreign Minister’s presence at the OIC meeting to be significant. They believe that the discussions held on the sidelines of this meeting are beneficial for improving the Islamic Emirate’s relations with Islamic countries.
Samin Shamsi, a political analyst, said, “The more frequently regional officials travel to Afghanistan and Afghan political leaders travel to those countries, the better it will be for Afghanistan.”
The 50th session of the OIC Foreign Ministers was held on August 29 and 30 in Cameroon. During this meeting, the acting Foreign Minister called on Islamic countries to make efforts to lift sanctions on the Islamic Emirate.
