A delegation from the Ministry of Education, led by Shahabuddin Saqib, the head of the Office of the Ministry of Education, has embarked on a one-week visit to Malaysia.

Mansoor Ahmad Hamza, the ministry’s spokesperson, stated that the delegation will engage in discussions with officials from Malaysia’s Ministry of Education and educators in that country on a range of topics, including bilateral cooperation.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education said, “In this visit, the delegation will provide a comprehensive overview of Afghanistan’s educational achievements, challenges, and opportunities to officials of Malaysia’s Ministry of Education, esteemed scholars, and teachers from schools and madrassas. They will meet with various educational institutions in Malaysia and key officials. During these discussions, officials from both countries will exchange scientific insights and discuss potential areas of mutual cooperation.”

Meanwhile, some university professors see this visit as beneficial in establishing broader educational opportunities.

Hekmatullah Mirzadeh, a university professor, stated, “The Islamic Emirate can draw valuable insights from Malaysia that may positively influence educational policy changes in Afghanistan.”

Zakiullah Mohammadi, another university professor, remarked: “This visit could be highly effective if senior members of the Islamic Emirate and delegation members who are participating are genuinely committed to advancing the relevant educational efforts.”

Previously, the acting Ministers of Higher Education and Education also traveled to Russia to attend the Second Global Conference of Ministers of Higher Education.
