Afghan Studies Center, under its internship and fellowship program, welcomes its first Afghan intern, Mohammad Ilyas from Maidan Wardak, Afghanistan. Mohammad Ilyas attained his primary schooling from Zewalat, Jalriz district, Afghanistan, until moving to Kabul for High School. In 2011, he moved to Islamabad, Pakistan, where he obtained his BBA (Hons) from International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). He is currently enrolled in a Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Under its internship program, the Afghan Studies Center has given him the opportunity to conduct research on issues of his interest relevant to the Afg-Pak region. At the end of the internship, his work will be published on the ASC website.
