Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently held a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, Head of UNAMA and her accompanying delegation to discuss various issues, including the participation of Afghanistan in upcoming Doha meeting along with several other topics.

In the meeting, Minister Muttaqi announced that a delegation from the Islamic Emirate, led by Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, will participate in the upcoming Doha meeting. The delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the head of the Islamic Emirate’s Political Office in Doha, and Da Afghanistan Bank.

Foreign Minister Muttaqi added that the Islamic Emirate’s delegation is fully prepared to address critical agenda items, such as combating narcotics, financial and banking sanctions, and overcoming obstacles hindering private sector development.

It is worth noting that Roza Otunbayeva, head of UNAMA, highlighted the upcoming Doha meeting as an excellent opportunity for both sides to exchange views and engage in productive dialogue.
