Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will host a trilateral meeting with his counterparts from Afghanistan, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, and from Pakistan Shah Mahmood Quraishi today to discuss the peace and reconciliation process of Afghanistan.
Wang will chair the virtual meeting while the other two will join through a video link, to have an in-depth discussion on the key issues of peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan, the trilateral practical cooperation and anti-terrorism security cooperation.
These meetings have been taking place since Beijing stepped up its diplomacy with the two nations in the wake of the US troops’ withdrawal from the war-torn country.
