Meanwhile, Pakistani Authorities in Balochistan province have issued a warning for Afghan migrants, urging them to leave villages in the region voluntarily by Tuesday. Afghan migrants holding Afghan citizenship cards and registration cards are particularly targeted.
Amidst these warnings, Afghan migrants revealed that police have threatened forcible expulsion if they fail to vacate Baluchistan’s villages by 8 a.m. local time on April 16th. Villages like Kraz, Nav Bazar, and Pishin are specifically instructed to evacuate and return to Afghanistan.
Initially, the Pakistani government assured that Afghan migrants possessing Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC) and Proof of Registration (PoR) cards would not face expulsion. However, provincial authorities in Balochistan have now announced plans to expel even legal migrants, intensifying the plight of over 700,000 Afghan migrants deported since November last year.
